The Houses Of None
I'm hurting but honesty keeps pushing through my thoughts
a scapel excising flesh from soul
exposing my vulenrability
cloaked in shadows
Mr. Dark comes forward
my guardian since time began
insulted rain, reigns in his disdain
under my breath I curse
I am unsure of his intent
he keeps coming on strong none the less
storming my sacred halls
presenting himself front and center
he believes he is in love with me
I don't share his sentiment
he thinks my honor is on the line
so with a wide arc and heady pronounciation
he begins to chant
in an ancient language I don't understand
I think to rise he pushes me back
none so gentle
he will take me to hell I feel, with his rebellion
I seek God in all the heavens
he calls out his name
stating his previous claim to me
a man of renown he is known at court
before the dawn blot space with its vision...he was
the men come from behind him
he is ably backed should there be a problem
my Father approaches
and asks me what I have chosen
it is my voice he desires
I tell him I want no part of this coup
Mr. Dark continues his chanting
summoning the horde
the men are heavily armed
it will be war
peace negotiations are over
my sanity is at stake
I scream through the veil
I wish to marry in the heavens
Michael shakes his head
oh how the mighty have fallen
from the houses of none
