aching realization mortal company can be fleeting
moving in the elements the immortal surrounds me
encompasing my soul

stirring a feeling so familiar
knowledge found and wisdom lost
I want to be accepted

thumps the drum of my heart
pushing my sadness through my soul
within me I sigh

you listen intently and say nothing
I wither without you
lingering in doubt

touching the darkness of being
a taste of divine
