Arianelle
Arianelle, where have you gone?
As quickly as you came,
You have upped sticks and vanished.
Who is going to light my mornings now,
Who is going to fill the void?
You were a breath of fresh air,
Young, natural and distractively pretty,
Able to stop traffic in its tracks -
Intelligent with the world at your feet,
Oh and a good poet too, whoops! My bad.
What on Earth has happened to you, this brief flourish -
Was someone upsetting you?
Maybe you have found somewhere better to go,
Or maybe, just maybe, you're taking a break,
So that you'll return even stronger than before.
Beauty like yours is rare but we must remember...
It is only skin deep and won't save the day.
The soul, the essence, the deepness of our being,
Will outlast everything.
I just hope we haven't heard the last from you...
That's all.

What a sweet trap. Lol.
Although I love the vibe of the write, I am immune sir. Lol.
This is such a lovely poem, by the way. All the imagery lulling the (female)readers to swoon.
I just like good reads, and this is definitely one of them.
Great job Billy .

Thank you, Styxian! We both know beauty alone won't save the day even though it helps. I never want it to rule my thinking. I would hate to think I am corruptible, lol! 😉

She almost looks like Drew Barrymore. I enjoyed this piece Billy. Solid and fun.

That's interesting. Too true though, Billy, many have left the site and some may have return with different usernames. I have not seen a few people now for a while. That's a pretty young lady there.

It is true that someone upset this lady & she left the site. I am no saint either. Sometimes I get upset with people & have lost my cool from time to time on here but I am continually trying to rein it in, taking a breath before saying something I may regret later. Thank you Grace for your input. 😊

Most left because of being upset. I was called names a few times, but I think I am thick skinned, I let them slide. So I am still here..more than ten years now.

People come and people go. And lots of times they come back if only for a short time. This is a nice dedication.

It could be about you, you know? That is the mystery of Billy until you discover that he's full of nonsense, lol. May you not discover that for many many years to come, lol. Thanks for the nod on this one, mysteriouslady. 😉

I've noticed all the pretty women on sites like this have a tendency to disappear without notice never to return. Finicky people I guess. Loyalty means nothing to them when they can attention elsewhere.

I think what you're saying is, maybe we need to try harder to keep them here. I can only speak for myself of course but I thank you for sharing your thoughts on this, Dragonblood. 😊

the children are here among you they are safe she is empathetic as you all are she has done mischief magic according to her will and morals born of the onyx kingdom and taken to the golden kingdom for healing as she was terribly scarred she is merciful to all beings and forms she is walking worlds trying to save the mislead souls that wander she is in the grey now they see her light and come forth they are shaken by the war in the heavens and in the hells... be patient she is fierce but frightened of the moon she fears wants to kill her Father.

Moon lady? No, I did not seek her permission because I do not know who she is. Do you always seek permission on the 'artwork' you use to accompany your poems?
