Arianelle

Arianelle, where have you gone?
As quickly as you came,
You have upped sticks and vanished.

Who is going to light my mornings now,
Who is going to fill the void?
You were a breath of fresh air,
Young, natural and distractively pretty,
Able to stop traffic in its tracks -
Intelligent with the world at your feet,
Oh and a good poet too, whoops! My bad.

What on Earth has happened to you, this brief flourish -
Was someone upsetting you?
Maybe you have found somewhere better to go,
Or maybe, just maybe, you're taking a break,
So that you'll return even stronger than before.

Beauty like yours is rare but we must remember...
It is only skin deep and won't save the day.
The soul, the essence, the deepness of our being,
Will outlast everything.
I just hope we haven't heard the last from you...

That's all.
