Dear heart,
I know you’ve repeatedly been torn apart,
You’ve been treaded on and abused,
In love, mislead, and confused.
You’ve witnessed glory and conquered pain,
And have been the cloud in my thunderstorm and tears of
rain.
You’ve been taped together with hope,
And have tried various methods to cope.
I’m sorry for taking you on this dramatic ride,
And I hope that you’ll be able to push this previous pain
aside.
I want you to heal and be whole,
To be the healthy center of my soul.
I want you to be ready when something true,
Comes here to save you.
I hope that you can forgive and forget,
And release all pain and trauma that you’ve met.
From now on I’ll take good care of you,
Lets take advantage of this, starting new.
We’ll take this crumbling wall and knock it down.
Pulsing, reminding me to smile, you’ll never let me frown.
Never again will I let them tear you apart,
For previous encounters, I’m sorry dear heart.
