Drops of Paradise

Open your eyes and your heart
and let the sunshine impart
it's bright and glorious morals
as you flow amongst the universe's coral
becoming entangled in the jetty
releasing everything that is spaghetti
and burning your noodle
as you drop the glorious soup on the spoodle
burning your tongue on its zest
drinking in the East and devouring the West.
Drops of paradise, misspoken
promises of eternity easily broken
but stay away from the flame or you'll burn
burning Eden to the ground to earn
a place at God's feet,
for a chance to revel in the defeat.
