Unquiet
I’m nothing like who I was before
I don’t sit in corners anymore
Now my whisper’s more like a roar
My needs won’t be ignored
So if you won’t abide then hit the door
And don’t come around me no more
I don’t sit in corners anymore
Now my whisper’s more like a roar
My needs won’t be ignored
So if you won’t abide then hit the door
And don’t come around me no more

I remember sitting in corners, even hiding behind a wall once. I was incredibly shy as a kid. It still comes out of me every once in awhile.

I totally feel your pain. I hid in a locker once in high school because I was paralyzed with fear from social anxiety.

I'm not, lol
I'm a highly social person, but I'm a recluse too if that makes any sense.
I see a lot of myself, the 🔥 fire, in you.

Katty Perry's song Roar would make background music to a reading of this poem.
