Universal language

The universe has seen our trials and labor
cutting into our souls like a saber.
The planets have tasted our tears
and seen our nights lost to fears.
No matter the tongue we choose
the sun will never refuse
to help our days become dark
so that we may crawl in the shade like an ark
seeking refuge from the world outside
the universe has spoken it's beautiful tide
and pulled us into it's loving seas
of stars and empty beauty that frees
us from our earthly worries and bonds
cooling us with heavenly fronds
to remind us that we are alone
but that's the beauty of her tone
when we learn to speak the universal tongue
and release our souls that have been stung
by the kiss of pain and death
choosing to deeply inhale her entire breadth
into our finite lungs,
the ones the universe hung
her gown of light and secrets for,
loving each in it's universal language more
than we could ever see,
from here to beautiful infinity.
