Goddess Oya (The Cosmic Awakening)

Divinity is for men when his heart and mind comprehends
Infinity is for a wise man who surpasses to fall under the temptation of sin
To he who knows the worth of his life as his own story begins
Aquarian water flows to sustain life
Bread of prosperity is given to those who condemn the gun, arrow, and the knife
Fly higher in your journey to be

Allow your cognitive awareness to elevate, allow it to set you free
An Earth Angel is who the skies sacredly keeps
Sheds of me left,
By chains confining blistered feet upon plantation the insignia found upon ancestral back welts
The reflection in my mirror on the wall
Protect my virtues from humanity’s greatest fall
My vessel of existence never falters, yet spiritual to keep me standing tall
Where art thou woman as earth demands
I bow to unite with Mother Nature’s creed as I faithfully stand

Author's Note
Oya, is known as the goddess of life and death Oya is seen as a fierce warrior goddess, who rides the storm with her powerful bow. One of her symbolic roles is as a spirit of liberation, freeing people from old patterns of thought and behavior that no longer serve them. As goddess of the new dawn, she instills new energy and excitement.

Olodumare (The Creator), Olorun (The Sky God), and Olofi (The Supreme God). Olorun created seven spirits who were sent to rule over various aspects of the world and become high priests known as Orishas. They were made from different combinations of the four original elements of air, water, fire, and earth. Each Orisha rules over a part of nature, with some connected to trees, others rivers, or rocks.
