whose fault

Whose fault?

Youth is the time we make mistakes, we regret
and before I say anymore, why have I never walked
into a murder scene like Hercules

I have not met anyone I love as much as you
she said the woman who lived in the lake
who at full moon caught trout with her bare hands
and had a bosom as generous as her love.

Oh, mirror, so high up on the wall, she was right in what
she had said, the world was mine
I danced by the candlelight lit by my vanity
Her rowing boat was found in the fjord,
had gone out fishing for cod.

Suicide the verdict, we know better, the father and I
Hercules was not there to put things right
and point out the guilty one.
