Don't Pass Me By
They say time flies when you are having fun.
Dearest, I hope they are wrong.
I hunger for your embrace, for your touch against mine.
I hope the minutes we are together morph gently into hours,
the days to expand full-time.
For every moment we are entwined, I cherish with zest.
There is an ache in your absence, a longing unrest.
May our time together unfold in slow motion,
In a dance of eternity, our hearts in devotion.
I hope to hold onto every memory we make,
because no matter what happens,
you will have been,
the best part
of it all.
They say time flies, but oh how I wish it wouldn't.
