Though Tears Fall, A Smile Remains
To live life, in view of heaven
Yet it is blurred by teary eyes
Close your eyes and count to seven
Now open them, and see the azure skies
Yet you ask "Why is life so cruel?"
What purpose can my pain serve?
Between life and death, it's a constant duel
A hole in my chest, my heart an open nerve
Losing those that we love the most
Is the same as if we died ourselves
Like being tied to a whipping post
We remain trapped, locked in our cells
Resigned to hold the pieces of your soul
Whilst you drown in warm, salty droplets
We crawl deeper in the endless hole
Despair comes forth, catching your sorrow in goblets
Until the warmth of hands embrace your face
Your eyes rise to meet your savior
That whom you lost in the first place
Finally, tears of rememberence have gained your favor
Again you look to the azure above
With once weary eyes that now are clear
Thinking back on the resounding love
Of those who have gone, but will always be near
Yet it is blurred by teary eyes
Close your eyes and count to seven
Now open them, and see the azure skies
Yet you ask "Why is life so cruel?"
What purpose can my pain serve?
Between life and death, it's a constant duel
A hole in my chest, my heart an open nerve
Losing those that we love the most
Is the same as if we died ourselves
Like being tied to a whipping post
We remain trapped, locked in our cells
Resigned to hold the pieces of your soul
Whilst you drown in warm, salty droplets
We crawl deeper in the endless hole
Despair comes forth, catching your sorrow in goblets
Until the warmth of hands embrace your face
Your eyes rise to meet your savior
That whom you lost in the first place
Finally, tears of rememberence have gained your favor
Again you look to the azure above
With once weary eyes that now are clear
Thinking back on the resounding love
Of those who have gone, but will always be near
