the punk in me will never be satisfied
as much the prick as when I was a kid
I still rebel against the cause
I'll rebel against you all!
because when it's all said and done
I want to be able to say
I tried to be a good person
in a not so good place

went to extremes
to put food on the table
cried alone, but swallowed those tears
not the fortunate one
had to put my axe to the grind
got stuck in a system
that only saw me as a machine
one to be used till I broke
bitch! I don't quiet quit
I throw two fingers up
and tell you to suck a dick

I've experienced love come and go
my heart, the revolving door
tell me how do you do it?
hurt someone and not feel a thing
guess that's the way it's got to be
still I'll wonder
do they think of me?
maybe when I'm dead they will
and I'm the fool for holding on
after all I'm still human
whatever that means

sometimes I like to put music on
the kind that's loud and disruptive
much like how I see myself
a person that can't change shit
but one that won't stay silent
I have a big heart
wanting the best for everyone
unless you fuck me over
then it's to hell with you
I give way too much of myself
to waste my time
so if you're eager to leave
I won't stop you
