Go ahead look; then look again
Another cream-colored story; a fable
Not quite bright. Rather somewhat off white
Another white lie just the same
Mixing it up. Ugly is seen
On the scene working at it hard
Being itself...Casting off overcast shadow
Seeing what’s serious, seeing within the frame
We reference the game…played
Searching for honest
Again…Go ahead and look. Grab a mirror sing along
Ugly approaches...conveying the latest lie
Another spin coming at us even more jaded
Look how the innocent get persuaded
Streaming that aqua green with an embarrassed envy
Each writer’s cramp set to offer and receive yet another fable
Like Grimm becoming more threatening by the minute
What’s it all mean? The time we’ve spent?
Clearly a heady scene in the context of the content
A chilled scene heaven sent and seen clinging to The Blues
How the deep, the darkened hue gets us all enthused
Playing it up enjoined to enjoy our self
Go ahead look again
This time with even more caution
The mellow speaks to the sun's yellow
tinged with hot pink
The Hot. Positioning itself for a funny face
Smiles are for a happy face; shining
All the while debating
waiting on the truth
Ugly we’re settled into it
Posted-up here in the midst of it
Wanting to get set…while situated for the worst
Others saying what lies is a critical curse
Check the last verse.
Knowing ugly is always upfront
Lying…dead ahead in & out of its comfort zone
Playing at being the beauty fool.
