Me And My Shadow

 
walking in morning sun
warm on one side
cool on the opposite

a dragonfly invades space between
my body and flat darkness
cast on pavement

wings darken and cool
as long as she flutters
in that moveable place

my shadow
has height length and depth
my shadow has volume

my shadow is a vessel
between me and
the shape on the path

my shadow is
substantial
multidimensional

my shadow
has temperature
and influence

my shadow is enigma
