Don't ask humans for certain definitions!
The headlines being how they are, I decided to try a modest work around for the customary music group search response for the idiom "third eye blind" in order to get something like a sturdy definition for the much journalistically bandied term..."woke"...and behold, up came this well worded answer from artificial intelligence via quora.com and ChatGPT...

I can't help but to interpret this answer as evidence of Republican, or conservative, thoughtlessness and denial, as well as being proof that ChatGPT is more emotionally sensitive and psychologically astute than at least a third of the Human species.

I was familiar with the mystical term "third eye". I've heard of the band for years and years. I never put the two together until now. Sometimes I wonder why I bother taking in any information with my two physical eyes and ears. It doesn't get processed. I guess a head has to be filled with something, just to keep the internal pressure up.

I'd like to take this opportunity to expand on the observation addressed in my post by saying that this was my first encounter with ChatGPT and my takeaway was that it was smarter than all of my MAGA neighbors, and way more likely to convert me into a spiritualist than any evangelical I've ever heard.
But how does AI immunize itself from the stupefying effects of the social media which it must be analyzing to come up with its conclusions? How humiliating that AI is better at comparison and contrast than we lowly poets!

As to your comment, I've often noticed that intellectual processing will not take place until after a requisite amount of gastrointestinal motion has undergone caffeine induction, for if there is a god, its name is not Jehovah, but...PROCESS...and how many processes require internal pressure? Certainly a great many, if not all.

ChatGPT is indeed smarter than your MAGA neighbors, because it is a mediocre intelligence and your MAGA neighbors don't rise to that level of excellence.
And you've identified the key problem with ChatGPT and any other of the current crop of artificial intellects: they are trained on whatever firehose of information they are connected to. A lot like people in that regard, actually. For good and ill.
We humble organix do have rather more sophisticated discriminator circuitry, if we can be bothered to engage it, and despite the tendency for its clutch to slip. ChatGPT and its ilk don't have any way to assess what they're told unless it has been programmed in with mundane rules like "Disregard anything said by Joe Rogan or Jordan Peterson or etc, etc, etc", "Wikipedia is a good source for basic facts", etc.
It's the old dictum - garbage in, garbage out. I recommend Carl Sagan's Baloney Detector. Or Occam's Razor, if your taste in science popularizers tends to the old fashioned and/or tonsorial, as I suspect it might.

I enjoyed the way the AI response seemed to be tonally identical to every Brent Spiner performance as Lieutenant Commander Data on Star Trek: The Next Generation, but now I am down in the dumps again by wondering if what you say about firehose information streams would have a homeschooled AI wanting to listen to more Amy Grant. The prospect terrifies!
