My First Sex

In those moments of our first joining,
we were the center of the Universe.
There was nothing else in creation,
only the organic sounds of two young
bodies dancing across a night sky to
rhythms we couldn’t comprehend.

My skinny legs spread awkwardly.
Where should they be? Is this right? I thought,
but then my legs disappeared.

All of existence vanished except the
sensation of my wet folds wrapped
around an undeserving boy’s cock
as if I might hold him for eternity.

Author's Note
I came across one of mother's early poems. It prompted me to reflect on my first night.
