Glimmer of Light

In this exile
The storms of life
Swirl around us.

However -

Looking through the dark
Roiling clouds
We catch a glimmer
Of light -

It is the Friend
Standing in His open doorway
Holding high a lantern
With the sun inside,

Beckoning us to enter
His inner kingdom
Of love, light,
And eternal life.
