Falling
Cherry colored leaves have a magic relationship with autumn air.
They fall with a graceful nonchalance, not a single care.
They are meant to fall, they knew it all along.
No need to despair.
They cascade to a lonely unheard song.
In my heart there is a dusty tomb.
For the dead blooms.
For all the disillusioned pieces I hoard of you.
Gathered around bleeding crimsin soul shaped leaves.
A hint of beauty to ease the grief.
A hint of beauty to ease the grief.

this is very beautiful Debbie I enjoyed all of it but I liked the idea of you hoarding portions of a person 💕

Thank you. And you know I thought of you when I used the word Crimsin. I think we hoard what we want to believe, to avoid the pain of disillusionment.
I really look forward to your feedback.

Dear D,
There is a delicate gentleness in this poem for me. I am looking forward to the fall with great anticipation. The metaphor of an unrequited love being left behind for a new season is refreshing as it is very clever. New opportunities arise with a new setting. Great insight, wonderful write. H🌷

Hi! Thank you so much. A lot in life can be compared to the seasons, death and re-birth, of relationships, feelings. I'm so glad you liked it. 😊

Somewhat conceptual and visual, though ending in a lachrymose fashion. I enjoy the colorful metaphorical representation of the environment, atmosphere, and mood you convey, as you bring the theme and direction to the pining of your heart for love. Very creative. I feel like you're growing as an artist. Every time I read something new by you, you become even more bold, and concrete with your imagination. Anyway, thanks for sharing.
