Diary 1 - Eden

Of all the flowers in the garden
The perfection, shy a petal
A taste like undiscovered heaven
And chromed gun metal

I found the snakes
you said would never bite

I burned the saints
you said would protect me

So you think you're like me

Have you swallowed the last you have
Just to build the courage to strike the match?

Have you cut through the stitches
Just to have it bleed, not because it itches?

So you think you know me

Do you know how long it takes
Before one gives their last breath away?

Do you know how to make it burn
Leaving the ashes as all I've earned?

I found the means
is all you have left

I kept your name
when you took the rest

Of all the trees in the garden
 - I never wanted to know

I trusted you
I trusted you
I TRUSTED YOU
I TRUSTED YOU!!!
