I neglect the simple things
like talking about my day

a little more bright
on a very cold and peaceful

How I ignored
your silly little things
like strawberry recipes
and videos of cats that sing

How I forgot
 to say 'I love you'
and send you a sweet
kiss goodnight

Or to mention
that if you need feel less lonely
the moon can be seen
from both your side and mine

Your absence scares me
burns my soul
Sometimes I wish we could dance in the rain
even if it's far too cold
