Seeing Mental Health Illness Within The Shadows Of My Eyes

We are now heading upon the throne of Autumn, where, within some states we will kiss the shadows of the sun goodbye until the beginning of Spring 2024, as all eyes shall witness the beautiful transformation of falling leaves, then barren lands, we tend to spend more time indoors than out.

Please take into consideration as the day gets shorter and the nights become longer, this is the time for a mental check to keep your mind intact, your heart pure, and the body replenished with food that give us energy and can compensate the mind.

The Mind

In as much and to take notice of, the brain‘s hemisphere become smaller during summer and larger during winter. The subcortical structures, which controls its neurological function such as learning, your motivation skills, decision-making, and emotional along with the sensory processing.

The changing from one season unto another seasons can have even more serious repercussions to the skin, we are indoors more so we tend to pack on those extra calories, our skin becomes drier, and tend to peel, or become itchy and flaky. Invest in a lotion that soothes the skin with properties of hydration.

There should be positive measures that one must take to always look and feel their best.

The Skin

The skin, I personally bath in goat milk, it keeps my skin supple and moisten, and lather my body with any Oil of Olay soap/body wash, it makes my skin radiate, and one footnote, always have two towels on hand, one for the body and one for the female/male private parts, I never did understand why some people use the same town to wash the entire body, however that is just me and how I was reared by my grann.

The Heart

Pamper it well and for those who suffer from HTN (High Blood Pressure) or High Cholesterol. You may take those maintenance medications, however, the temple still needs to reap the benefits of eating from the four food groups, and daily exercise.

During your seasonal transition, make sure you consume plenty of green leafy vegetables, fruits, nuts, plenty of berries, Salmon and other fatty fish, sauté your salads with pure virgin olive oil and used as a cooking agent instead of vegetable or canola oil, and olive oil is good on the heart.

My daily regiment consist of nuts and seeds by me being strict vegan, that is the source of my protein, and it’s beneficial to lower the blood pressure.

Examples of nuts and seeds to eat as part of a balanced diet focused on lowering blood pressure include, pumpkin seeds, flaxseed, chia seed, pistachios, walnuts, my favorite is almonds and cashews.

Fatty fish are an excellent source of omega-3 fats, which have significant heart benefits. These fats may help reduce blood pressure levels by lowering inflammation.

Yogurt is a nutrient-dense dairy product packed with minerals that help regulate blood pressure, including potassium and calcium.

I like my Greek Organic Yogurt.

The foods you need to avoid if you have high blood pressure are foods extremely high in sodium, added sugars, or saturated fat.

The Temple

You are the navigator of your owl vessel, is biological  equipped as the day you were born, it has your insignia of wisdom, knowledge, an inner peace the adaption to comfort or a festering rage to be detrimental.

During these months leading to all these sociable festive holidays, society’s mentalities tends to become more aggressive in lucid thoughts, mental aggravation. These unbalance emotions can manifest into anxiety, stress, suicidal intentions, or self-mutilation, coupled with other unforeseeable origins of interest that if not mentally prepared can damage the unity of the family structures; hurricanes, floods, wildfires, natural occurrences to upheaval the comfort of one’s existence.

In the end, stress, anger, or mental non-mechanism communiitive skills ultimately will calibrate as self-destructin begins to fester.

Just remember materialistic gains can always be replaced, I cannot say too much about the detrimental course of an eroded chemically unbalanced mind..

Seasonal Affective Disorder

Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD) this mental health disorder can cause major depressive episodes, and it usually begins late fall or early winter

Most who suffers from this may start to feel “down” in accordance when the days get shorter in the fall and winter (also called “winter blues”) and begin to feel better in the spring, with longer daylight hours.

In most reported cases, these mood changes are more solemn and can affect how a person feels, thinks, and handles daily activities.

Seek out the treatment or counseling from a Licensed Therapist if you think you may be one of the unfortunate ones this disorder affects.

Step away from your computer, place your cell phone on vibrate, and get out and socialize, take in the Arts during the Fall months, the symphony, the ballet, attend some musical plays, have a get together with family, friends, make it a game evening. You will feel so much better in the end.

I will elaborate more ways within the coming months on how to what I refer to Feng Shui your mind, heart, and body.

The term feng shui means, literally, "wind-water"
