Love Melancholy
The wind was blowing in my hair.
Scent of cotton candy in the air.
We were having fun at the town's fun fair.
We played the minigames and won lots of prizes.
We won stuffed animals of all sizes.
As the carnival music tickled our ears.
And we spent time together, healing our fears.
Enjoying our time and wiping our tears.
The sun had began to set.
The music died down and the stars appeared.
As they watched us with imaginary, curious eyes.
We sat on the grass and sang lullabies.
About our love and our fights.
Comforting eachother with love in our eyes.
And happiness in our voices as we sing.
Wondering what the future will bring.
Wondering if we will be together forever.
If we will ever depart.
Because I can't imagine a life without you in my heart.
A wave of nostalgia washes over me as I look back at my childhood.
The days I was wild and free.
When I still wore my heart on my sleeve.
When I used to be worry free.
Hanging out with my best friends.
And movie nights on the weekends.
Just simply enjoying the little things in life.
A time I didn't feel worry at night.
So ,please, cherish every moment.
For it does not last.
And sometimes,we grow up too fast.
