I give the muse full credit for their part. There's been more than one occasion when I felt a...burn..to create but until a muse of inspiration came along, the words or image was stuck. Still, it was there inside until the release. Thank you so much, Honoria

I feel your thought process and also believe similarly. It's also a bit of a combo, sometimes, methinks. Muses inspire but when writing or painting or sculpting, etc there's seeds there that is feel lay dormant until oftentimes inspiration or a muse, strikes... I really think the way you've described a dire internal need that pulls upon your very fabric, in those last two lines "when beauty paints the masterpiece within" is a gorgeous poetic triumph.

Absolutely true! The muse would have no outlet without us and we often couldn't get the beauty out without their help. It's a fusion, of sorts. I do think the fire lives inside us though and the muse is the sort of catalyst that frees it. Hand in glove, as it were. Thank you so much, Bluevelvete!
