ripples

 
in repose I ponder thinking of the vast
and the small part I play
I impart my honesties
leaving a ripple

it is with serious thought I consider
all the ripples made and ideas communicated
sending them on the internet waves
as far as deep space

I wonder how long our thoughts will travel?

to touch another in time
seeking a heart to lift
or a mind to expand

perhaps going to where dreams die
at the end of the line
where the abyss swallows
and all good thoughts are put to rest

in the grander scheme of things
I worry after the infinite nature of things
will our words be used for or against us
weapons for the divine

I hope to edify others
but it's not always true
sometimes a thought is just a thought
