Spirals In A Low Light
Misery, butcher hooks
A black and white premonition
Salivating in the actresses
Third act treachery
I see you among them
The actors that played the part
Transformed in intermission
Threading the thread
Don’t know where
Don’t know how it began
But the resentment has the reins
It’s in the dead
Conversations unsaid
That familiar sting you brought
Venom that sticks in me
Tangled up in this
Outlasting a two front war
Life’s design and your Holocaust
Burning up all I have
Maybe I’m to blame
Somewhere I legitimized you
Don’t turn away just yet
I can bury you too
Don’t know where
Don’t know how it began
We come to a logical conclusion
You say you need me
Like a bandage to a wound
Like wires long crossed
I refuse that too
I debase myself
Say things I don’t mean
Hyperventilating at the thought
That I’m just like you
Can’t hold the hate
Won’t force what isn’t there
But let me ask before you interrupt
Why would you want this
A black and white premonition
Salivating in the actresses
Third act treachery
I see you among them
The actors that played the part
Transformed in intermission
