Rosary made of Rosemary
Save me through cremation
Not with mother earth
Ascend me towards my father
And his cloud of caskets
Lined in silver silk
Where I will be
Dead asleep
With a hidden door
Beneath my scented pillow
From my Rosary
Made of Rosemary
With its
Needle like leaves
That threaded
Into my spirit
From countless
Prayers and songs
Make my ebony hair
Strong and radiant
Help it continue to grow
Braid and weave it like
Enchanted unbreakable rope
Open the door
Beneath my pillow
From the afterlife
Extend long enough
Towards my greatest love
Who doesn’t quite believe
Guide him
Show him
The way home

First, beautiful write.
Second, this made me think of a few people I know who don’t believe in an afterlife. I think they want to believe but just can’t accept what they can’t see. As the poem draws to a close it reminds me of prayer for the non believer to be enveloped and led to the light. It’s a lovely write and I didn’t know rosemary was good for the hair. Good to know. Love the piece. H🌷

Was trying out something a little darker but not too dark.
I love hope!!
And yes - it is about two different personalities who have different
takes on the afterlife.
Plus that song by the Deftones - Rosemary came on .
I find the guitar in the beginning and the end so sad and moving.
I actually looked up Rosemary and saw it was good for hair growth.
hahaha. I had no clue either but my mind started thinking and this
is what I came up with.

with an order of hemp soap... (Been looking for this soap I had in 2012)
It is for the hair... (Have used... Need to use more... I am a barbarian...)

Sooner or later it will loose its vibrancy so its

Your hair does look amazing... so full bodied. Must be the rosemary, right? Maybe I should try it. I have alopecia but cover it up with my long hair, tied in a ponytail. If I don't tie it, people think I'm a rock star! 😉
