Mami Pura Por Siempre (Mami Pura Forever)
Me enseñaste todo, menos a vivir sin ti
Arrancaste un gran pedazo de mi vida al partir
Mamita linda, por ti lloro un mar sin fin
Inundado de dolor queda mi alma al sufrir
Por siempre vivirás en mi mente y en mi corazón
Un día, deseo volverte a ver sonreir
Ruego todas las noches, en mis sueños oír tu voz
Añoro algún día volver a estar junto a ti
Translation:
You taught me everything, except to live without you
You ripped a huge piece of my life with your departure
Beautiful mommy, for you I cry an endless sea
Inundated with pain my soul remains to suffer
Forever you shall live in my mind and in my heart
One day, I long to see you smile again
Every night I beg, that in my dreams I hear your voice
I hope one day to be with you again

Author's Note
My mom passed away July of 2019. She meant the world to me. And every day that goes by, I miss her even more. It's not true, you can never heal from such a loss. I wrote this acrostic poem for her. It's in Spanish, but, I will accompany it with a translation, although it will not rhyme or will the first letter of each sentence begin the same as the original.
