(WRITER'S) BLOCKED,LATELY?
May your ink never run out,
May your canvas eternally thirst.
May there always be an A,B or C...eagerly awaiting your stitch into a word;
Worded in line
Lined to a verse
And versed to a whole new poetry!
XOXO!!!
May your canvas eternally thirst.
May there always be an A,B or C...eagerly awaiting your stitch into a word;
Worded in line
Lined to a verse
And versed to a whole new poetry!
XOXO!!!

Oh my goodness, I’ve been here so many times over the years. Poised with pen in hand and nothing to bleed into the paper, while everything inside churns.

Hi, peninnah
You seem boldly inspired in the stitching of this piece that has found its way to the pages of DUP! You have caught my attention because I like to ink about inking -- exactly as you have done here. You expertly catch the incremental layers in your porgression from letters to words to lines to verses to finished workmanship, compacting the entire epistle into a miniature shell.
Another thing is that this could easily be the fifth stanza in that enchanting Meredith Wilson song, "May the Good Lord Bless and Keep You." Find it here: https://www.azlyrics.com/lyrics/jimreeves/maythegoodlordblessandkeepyou.html
And, as if that's not enough, there is that Irish blessing,
May the road rise to meet you
May the wind be always at your back
May the sun shine warm upon your face
The rains fall soft upon your fields
And until we meet again
May God hold you in the palm of his hand

Well done, peninnah!
Sincerely

Dear Cab,
Your warm words and blessing are as timely as the entry of a bride on the wedding day!
Oh my sweet Auntie Mary-may she rest in eternal peace- loved herself Some Jim Reeves!Sunday we woke up to "we thank thee-" And often when I'm in the hold of sorrow,I find myself listening to him;Ah! Its riveting that you should share "The Lord bless you and keep you" at a time when I really needed!
As for the Irish blessing, that I will forever hold dear!
You have jump-started my August with a high note, may it be utterly beautiful for us both!
Oh!Bless your heart!
xo!

If you were the bride, you'd be a pearl - a fruitful one, too! - betrothed to Elkanah, along with Hannah! After all, your story is documented in I Samuel 1:2. Perhaps that's why the wind that blows about you is so positively northerly.
Yes, Jim Reeves' rendition of "We Thank Thee" has been one of my long-time favourites. I can imagine your dear late aunt singing along to Reeves' baritone.
The Lord knows best who needs what when, and He has a way of fulfilling our needs even before we can ask, at times. Whatever has been your challenge of late, He has provided the measure of relief that you need.
Interesting that as we celebrated Emancipation Day (August 1) in Jamaica, you were also coming into the confluence of buoyancy needed to initiate the month for you.
Thank you for your kind words; if I have been of some small help to you, to God be the glory.
Yours sincerely
