A very thought provoking & at times, heartbreaking piece. I'm glad you mention the future there, Debbie. I too have been worrying about it cos I don't think that utopian dream where robots do our work & we get the paycheck is gonna work, right? There will be widespread famine everywhere, wars will break out as the food shortages bite. Don't get me started on climate change! I wrote one about it recently too. Sorry to be so doom & gloom but it's only because of what I've been hearing & it's a view I agree with. I also agree with you that living in the moment is something we should all embrace because it's all we have. 😊

I do feel the doom of our world.
But without hope there is nothing. I appreciate your passion to preserve the beauty of our earth. And to promote positive change.

Hi! I like what you said about fate being indifferent to future investments and time served. Alot of people don't realize that. While a person is wallowing or daydreaming, life is passing them by. For my situation, with my mom's illness, staying in the moment is survival for my sanity.

The author's concept is kind of go out there, be vulnerable, get in the arena of life, don't stand back on the sidelines. I never liked self help books either....until I started reading them, lol. Totally reset my mind frame.
