Kaleidoscope is a collection of poems reflecting a wide range of human emotions and experiences. Grouped by colours of the rainbow, the themes range from anger and passion, joy and peace, to hope and mystery. Just as the view through a kaleidoscope changes when the dial is turned, our perspective on life varies according to our viewpoint and mood. Estelle Jackson is searingly honest about her struggles with such issues as jealousy, insecurity and indecisiveness. She writes with enthusiasm and insight whatever her situation, meaning that her poems range from humorous to philosophical to contemplative - often in quick succession. It is her hope that readers will be able to identify with the feelings she describes, and find their own meaning in her work. Her ultimate aim with this collection is to take all of life's varied experiences and learn from them.
