No one can really complete another person. Believing that just allows someone to avoid dealing w/ what they think is missing within their being
You say, " as if I was whole." Perhaps it is better to say, " I AM whole!"

I  take great delight in your terse verse.
15 words of thought provoking flair that uniquely sparks an emotional reaction.
Well I firmly believe that no other individual can complete another in a sense
that the real answers to becoming whole can only lie within ourselves.
It is our very own emotional connections or feelings of love and desire that we feel for another individual,  
that is what completes us and not the individual alone....
and Poof!!! my head explodes fused by your thought-provoking submission, lol
Hmmm the real question is how many times in our lifetime do we have to throw all of our pieces of the complicated puzzle of our lives back in the box just to get to that final piece of the puzzle in hopes to once again feel completed????, lol.

I'm glad it gave you so many thoughts, and that you stopped in to share them. It's my opinion that we are all already whole, whether we feel that way or not. That doesn't mean we've discovered everything about ourselves yet - but we're not lacking anything. We are who we are, period. It's nice when we find someone who helps us recognize our own inherent completeness. Without flinching. Sometimes there are icky bits in the mix...
