Comments, critiques, blah, blah, blah
Not that anyone cares
But there is a trend
With my comments here
Of an easy disposition
Most of time with my words
I admit that my opinion
Is sometimes for the birds
Well I will tell
The number of comments
Already given enters my mine
What with twenty already constructed
Not certain what more there is to be said
But those with zero really enter my head
So too I have come to a conclusion
A few I write will not be viewed
Nothing to do with quality indeed
But instead the genre of the words
As if there is a lesser need
For critiques of politics
Or even the sports
More interested in the intimate
Ships entering a port
A metaphor for contact between
Two aroused mates
Hundreds will glance at sensual
Bonding of two mates
Luckily numbers don't tell all
In this I don't think I am wrong
But if only one likes the words
That is sufficient to carry on

....and in between the insanity of my work load, I will definitely comment, critique and enjoy your artistic prose. You definitely support my ramblings and I have no problem returning the favor unless I can't find something helpful to say.

I am fascinated not only by the type of poems that get comments but by the fact that some can have 100 or more people reading and not even one comment. It is for that reason that I make an effort to say SOMETHING about a poem that I read if several have already done so with not a single word in review.

Thank you for your honesty. A fantastic poem. But, please, please never think of not carrying "on." I love your words because there are themes, ideas, etc. behind and inside the words. None of your words are just words.

Laugh, how dare you try to make me think I have to ponder what I write! This is mostly me ranting. It just boggles my mind the a poem can be read here 400 times plus and not get a single comment. Now I wil get off the soapbox!

I transform myself into your world
I am the object of your desires -
this, Jazz, my friend is how I read erotica...
But sadly jazz, politics - I just can't seem to get interested, I have my opinions, but keep them to myself
I think that I am one in my beliefs...
And I make it a rule to never talk politics or religion - I have seen major family disputes start over both topics... I comment on what I am interested in. That is why I chose this poetry site - nearly all of my poetry is in the erotic section. I love erotica. But Jazz, I still read everything you write, I just don't comment on it all. Keep writing, I for one value your opinions.

Okay, the thing is people even decide to like poems and still don't leave comments. I realize that most people are reluctant to leave negative comments. However I have found that if I don't like a poem it is because I don't understand it. I ask for further explanation from the author and in all those instances my dislike vanished. If someone doesn't like or likes what I do, I do like to know. Now I confess there is one author here who seems so snobbish that I hold little weight in his word, but that is another subject!
