Brother
I ate
Chicken heart,
While sitting
By my brother-in-law,
At a street vendor stall,
Half a world away;
We talk
As brothers,
Separated by
A mere barrier
Of common speech;
He knows much
Of my native tongue;
I know scant bits
Of his;
This worthy man
Is
My brother.
