“I am still on my zigzag way, pursuing the diagonal between reason and
heart.”―Ruskin Bond, Rain in the Mountains: Notes from the Himalayas
can't stop the rain
from falling on my window,
but i can find out
why the sky is so distressed.
can't stop the pain
from drooling in my pillow,
but i can hide out
till the dawn renews my quest
for fragrant inks
to autograph my living,
ere my time runs out.
troubled scribbles are, at best,
unbroken links
in zigzag chains of giving,
when vexed clouds bleed out,
tossed by temporal unrest.
can't stop the page
from capturing my spillage
as it trickles out
in life's great inglorious jest,
but when the rage
of heaven's global village
has been sorted out,
inks will paint a new conquest.
