Not here to throw shade or put someone under a bus
would like a little room to  espouse something real
even the most prolific tunesmith is human
you cant dissociate them from what they feel

Many like to pit a Beatle against a Beatle
sad because what always drew them together was love
but there has never been a durable relationship
built solely on the wings of a dove

Please don't omit Harrison though dealing with cancer
offering to accompany Ringo to check on his child
or George and Paul's last moments together
as a relationship gone wrong and defiled

Going to discount the tenderness Paul recalled
as he talked about John's song, "Beautiful Boy"
the lyrics penned in "Here Today"
show John wasn't just Paul's convenient toy

What about George suggesting to Paul
"bad blood between you and Yoko does no good
don't erase the brotherly vibes we four lads had
a narrative continued to misunderstood

Within the Anthology their positive links
so vivid and plain to see
Sir Paul crafted the stellar Rock and Roll Induction
for Ringo that fit him to a tea

We know social media and the press
will make money by recounting their spats
but journalists worth anything
aren't content to leave it like that...
