Tabletop Of Memories
Over tabletop of memories
of my youth
rainbows had whistles
over trestles
old poets had songs
in a sea of nights
and I said my prayers
Now the tabletop is gone
and my hair is white
rainbows still have whistles
but there are storms on the streets
and many have lost their ways
but I still say my prayers
to the man upstairs
of my youth
rainbows had whistles
over trestles
old poets had songs
in a sea of nights
and I said my prayers
Now the tabletop is gone
and my hair is white
rainbows still have whistles
but there are storms on the streets
and many have lost their ways
but I still say my prayers
to the man upstairs
