it still hurts

She lingered and lingered,
Like blocks her words hit me,
She kept throwing them,
It built a bridge for me.

Now that I've crossed over,

Into your world?
Away from the light

I fixed the broken thoughts
And read between the lines,
You broke one more thought
And with you I did dine.

I'm just a soul
Whose intentions are good
It still hurts a bit,
That you misunderstood
