Iridium

Haunt me when I close my eyes
inviting smiles were all disguise
I slip between the cracks of isolation
acid couldn't break me down
you hate that I am still around
I bet iridium never seemed so iridescent

With weeping eyes and clenching jaw
I lunged at you with broken claws
I could never land a mark on aqua regia
my platinum has fallen all apart
my core is gleaming now you've seen my heart
I bet iridium never seemed so iridescent

Elysian the blood that flows through my veins
I tend to overcomplicate
aqua regia: the symphony of self destruction
war on me and I'll become more bared
rip like wind through the curls in my darkened hair
I'll settle on your ground like petaled violets

Delicate but I'll burn your flesh
your combination can withstand me best
grip me gently in your passion as I crumble
eyes like stars my scorpion's moon
could never get enough of you
let me drown under the ocean of your essence
