A contortionist
My legs felt wronged
knowing there
is more to a circus
than ringmasters
and good words,
in the way bodies
twist themselves
in strange ways
as smooth bends
make hungry spines
impatient for unison,
pining for
other ways
loins carve
curves into
arches.
