Whispers in the Dark
I stilled my mind and drifted into another realm
When I awoke, I was greeted by flowers and elm
The lady bird sang a wonderful tune
On the water rang a lovely loon
I strolled through the wooded glade
Suddenly, not a sound was made
The sun began to set, and my heart was starting to fret
A sinking feeling told me I had been drawn into a devilish debt
Darkness encompassed me
Whispers hissed, as mist came to my knee
Dreadful requests did they ask
Each more horrid than a blood filled cask
Now I speak with a permanent stutter
So careful, what they asked I will never utter
The wretched words I shan't ever mutter
When I awoke, I was greeted by flowers and elm
The lady bird sang a wonderful tune
On the water rang a lovely loon
I strolled through the wooded glade
Suddenly, not a sound was made
The sun began to set, and my heart was starting to fret
A sinking feeling told me I had been drawn into a devilish debt
Darkness encompassed me
Whispers hissed, as mist came to my knee
Dreadful requests did they ask
Each more horrid than a blood filled cask
Now I speak with a permanent stutter
So careful, what they asked I will never utter
The wretched words I shan't ever mutter
