If I Knew Then (with song)

If I knew then what I know now
I wonder what I would do..
Would I still believe that I was fat?
Would I think I wasn’t cool?
Would I spend more time just having fun
or would I focus more on school?
It’s hard to say... but one thing’s for sure…

If I knew then what I know now
I never would have been with you.
I never would have kissed those ashtray lips
or let you make me feel blue.
I wouldn’t have waited around so much
while you tried out someone new.
Yeah, if I knew then what I know now
I never would have been with you!

If I knew then what I know now,
I wonder how things would be.
Would I still believe I couldn’t sing,
and everyone was laughing at me?
Would I start a rock band and tour the world,
or would I just get lost at sea?
It’s hard to say... but one thing’s clear to me…

If I knew then what I know now
I never would have been with you.
I wouldn’t have bought those lies you told;
I’d have my own point of view.
I wouldn’t have kissed those ashtray lips
or let you make me feel blue.
I wouldn’t have waited around so much
while you tried out someone new.
I would have known I didn’t deserve
all the crap you put me through.
Yeah, if I knew then what I know now
I never would have been with you!
