Thank you so much. The last stanza is a bit abrupt as in changing
direction but so is life! LOL
Just decided to keep it in the piece.
So happy you enjoyed:)

Well, isn't this just a lovely breath of beautiful fresh air!

I felt this impact deeper and deeper with each wonderful stanza rolling into the next. You really conjured such rich, heartfelt imagery which allows the reader to take these soft impactful glimpses of tender emotional conveyance you ink so so well.

I like that you wanted to keep the poem a bit longer for yourself, sometimes we need to hang on to something so open and palpable just for ourselves, as reminder and as a kind of poetic token of happiness and joy.

I feel it's impact even more, knowing that you've eventually shared it with us, which couldn't be cooler.

Again, it's freaking fantastic to have you back with us!

Thank you so much. But I gotta give you some love/credit on this. You wrote a poem a while back with 3 lines. Loved the whole look and challenge of it so I do them every once in a while. So in a way you taught me this format - so thank you so much.

Giiiirl life has had me by the skin of my teeth lately. LOL
It's been challenging to sit down and write - too much going on offsite.

I’m back.  I so enjoyed this poem for its duality.  If you’ve written it with someone else in mind as a way of moving on it’s incredibly forgiving.  Turning it around and applying toward yourself is brilliant.  Self love and self encouragement is a lost art, if it was ever truly instilled in us in the first place.  Life is so hard and I really appreciated this lovely reminder to treat myself a little gentler in the process was just the ticket.  Beautiful write. Loving yourself can be easily forgotten when you're in the middle of a tough time. Eventually things calm down and we remember. I did write this for someone else who is golden - but edited it to share on the site for everyone else to remember it's okay to love yourself too. Valentines day is hard on people who are single or just had a breakup.
