womb eater

a disease eating the womb
itching in your blood
crawling into the cracks
of your broken reflection

motherhood is craving
wrapping bandages against
a nonexistent wound
telling yourself it's okay

i'll be your pretty girl
that is something i can be
all that i am good for
my body will kill me soon

wilted ovaries, i can't
carry on this bloodline
i would never willingly
give someone this skin

i can't be a mother

Author's Note
wrote this one this morning. i was just contemplating, thinking about my future and the body that i live in. it's hard to always be optimistic.
i hope you enjoy reading. if there is anyone else who has gender dysphoria and can relate i would so appreciate a comment. even if it's just a, "hello, i'm here,"

this poem was inspired by two songs: used to be better by lauren bousfield and girl rituals and detransitioning by uboa.

i don't mind if you don't support or accept me but please keep those sorts of comments to yourself. thank you.
