Unrequited Soulmate
You are,
my heart, soul, and flower.
My mirrored kin and spirit,
yet looks and kisses unreturned.
You are,
the beating heart of my soul,
still waves of unrequited love
crash, pummeling my psyche.
You are,
my flower whose petals never wilt -
Rather, bloom in my moonlight of solitude,
as you bask in the sunshine of companionship.
You are,
the congenial mate for my soul.
One to draw me close,
one to deny.
my heart, soul, and flower.
My mirrored kin and spirit,
yet looks and kisses unreturned.
You are,
the beating heart of my soul,
still waves of unrequited love
crash, pummeling my psyche.
You are,
my flower whose petals never wilt -
Rather, bloom in my moonlight of solitude,
as you bask in the sunshine of companionship.
You are,
the congenial mate for my soul.
One to draw me close,
one to deny.
