The Baby Rant (Not really a poem)

I want children.
I want a big family, in a big house, with kids running all over.
I want to come home from work to a husband who loves and respects me.
I want to be pregnant.
I want the joy of going to that first doctors appointment.
Getting that first ultra-sound.
Hear the heartbeat of something that it relying on me to keep it alive.
I want to be able to smile and hold my husband's hand the day we find out the sex of the baby.
I want twins.
Better yet i want two sets of twins.
I want to sit in a big fluffy rocking chair with two adorable little bundles in my arms.
I want two boys.
I want two girls.
I want them to look like their father.
I want their father to be handsome.
I want the smell of baby skin to fill my house.
I want to grow old and watch my babies have babies.
I want to see my daughters get walked down the isle.
And my sons in handsome tuxes taking their dates to prom.
I want album after album of pictures of my life, so when they are old enough i can tell them about my childhood and show them what my life was like.
I want to be a great grandmother.
To be able to have little babies around me til i'm old and wasting away.
I just want a life.
Outside of being a teenager.
Outside of parties, and alcohol, and smoking.
I want responsibility.
And not just for a dog, or cat, or snake.
I want to be in charge of another human life.
I want to experience the miracle of life.
And most of all i want the love of my life right by my side through everything.
Through the pregnancies, through the family parties, through first days of school, graduations, weddings, births, the babysitting, holidays, and finally someone to hold my hand when my time has finally ended.
And i want that man to be right by my side, watching that final sunset with me.
