Dancing With Time

You took the picture as the sunshine looked our way.
We were getting ready, dressed like we will die some way.
We danced and talked as we confessed our sins.

I hoped you'd stay,but deep down you didn't feel that way,it seems.
We gave eachother valueable things.
And I confess, you used to appear in my daydreams.

And sometimes, even in our good night dreams.
When I saw you,my heart fluttered.
And I hoped this would never end.

But the years passed, and our ways started to bend.
I used to have a friend,and I don't.
I used to dream of hanging out with you next to a pond.

Feeding the ducks and saying what we would do,
and what we won't.
I used to feel so comfortable, talking about everything.

Now I feel the eyes stare whenever I say anything.
Like I'm a creature,that doesn't belong.
Like I come from another planet, and so I struggle to bond.

So,please, show me the right way.
I feel like a vampire under sunray.
Show me your magical words of affection.

Show me you won't show rejection.
Because you might feel the same way.
You can tell me anything you wanted to say.
