breaking the mold
I've never tried to
stop the amusement
park inside my head
open 24-7-365 days
a year,
no down time or
holiday's off
cotton brain candy
caramel covered
neurotransmitter
apple's with or
without nuts, but
mostly with nuts
serotonin rides that
spin, dip, occasionally
break down
and a midway of
memories disguised
as a freak show you'd
have to see to believe
trauma--
you are a real
motherfucker
and thanks
dad
the humor of
your violence
was never lost
on me
because as it
turned out,
the joke was
on you
you thought you
were teaching me
a lesson of obedience
with your fist
but you were
wrong
I learned the lesson
of free will and self
determination
and became the
thing that you
feared the
most
my true
self
