the amazing universe in which we live

glorious, amazing God
unmeasured by time
by nature sublime
in Your splendour men have trod

Your unfathomable love
rules over the light
and deep in the night
spreads beneath, within, above

piteously and frail as dust
before You we bow
yet knowing not how
to adore You as we must

perfect is Your Holy Law
converting the soul
where evil control
would from us all life withdraw
