Solitude

'Round and 'round my mind goes,
Where it stops, nobody knows,
Melancholic solitude, ennui, even,
The army of damned souls, the shadow legion,
The eye of my deepest mind,
It takes things it does find,
Takes the romanticized existential wonderings
And turns them into even darker things.
Darkness, sitting in my soul,
Turning my mind ever most foul,
Head foggy, and brain laggy,
Sitting in solitude, enjoying the sound, empty,
Of my loud thoughts racing,
As my mind is wandering
And wondering,
Little use of my fine motor skills,
As out, my brain readily spills,
Vomiting thoughts upon thoughts, upon thought,
My mind, traveling a line, pulled too taught.
Turning rest into theatrical entertainment,
Only visible by my mind's eye's acknowledgment.
